PLAQG Seminar (formerly the Festival of Machine Quilters Show)
The PLAQG Festival of Machine Quilters Show had to be canceled because of many reasons but we are still going to sponsor Karen McTavish and her quilting classes on August 7, 8, and 9. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
All classes to be held at: No classes will be held at the Plano Centre. Repeat: All Classes have been canceled except for Karen McTavish's and all classes will be held at Linda's Electric Quilters. The following Karen McTavish classes will be held at Linda's Electric Quilters. To register send a list of the classes you wish to take to: Lisa Coker at gammillgirl@yahoo.com

Karen McTavish Class Description: This class will help you understand and quilt the popular background filler called McTavishing. This background filler is all the rage!! Quilts become award winning from applique to wholecloths! All Quilters Welcome! Skill Level of Student: Everyone Supply List: None. Recommend a drawing pad and pencil or pen. Friday, August 8, 2008 - 11:00 am to 5:00 pm F-207: Wholecloth Design Class Class Fee: $100.00 Kit Fee: None
Karen McTavish Class Description: This class will help you design a wholecloth from scratch. All stencils will be provided for you in class to create your own original wholecloth quilt. This is a marking class only. Class covers the history of wholecloth quilts and trunk show. Skill Level of Student: Beginner to Advanced

Karen McTavish Class Description: This class is a lecture/demo all about freehand machine quilted Victorian feathers how to place the feathers in a quilt without marking and how to make them look hand-quilted. Its a very fast way to achieve todays heirloom style without the time commitment of marking the quilt. This is a great class for those who are in a rut and need something new!
